Death Reigns No More |
||
But
we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the
angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. Hebrews 2:9 |

Hymn Tune by Bill Fiess | ||
Death reigns no more; Christ is alive! Redeeming nature and His bride. Rejoice, O Zion, in your King. Through God's Son death has lost its sting! Hanged on a tree, head crowned with thorns, They mocked and spit on Christ the Lord. Though without sin, our guilt He bore. On our Lord was God’s wrath outpoured. Our Shepherd came seeking the lost, From heaven's glory to the cross. For as in Adam all men die, So in Christ we are made alive. Death could not hold Christ in the tomb. Satan, the serpent, met his doom. Christ reigns on high at God's right hand. Pow'rs of darkness will not stand. Christ is our hope, our righteousness. Through Him all nations shall be blessed. The Man of Sorrows now renowned; Honor, glory are His crown. Forevermore our King will reign Where there's no sickness, death or pain. When lawlessness and wars shall cease Christ shall reign as our Prince of Peace. |
