Exalted and triumphant King, The Lord of Glory reigns. Oh honor Him, the King of kings, The name above all names. You left the glories from above From heaven you came down, A servant to the fallen race, You wore a thorny crown. Majestic and triumphant King Who as a Lamb was slain, Your blood has washed our sin away, Removed our guilty stain. You hung between the earth and sky To purchase your own bride; You agonized to set her free And in her place you died. Victorious and triumphant King We seek to glorify Your wondrous name in all the earth And all through heav'n on high. Then from the tomb the Lord arose, Our conquering God, the Son. The victory that set us free Our mighty Savior won. Our righteous and triumphant King Was crucified and raised To justify His chosen ones. Oh, let his name be praised! And then in heav'n you took your place, Returned in victory. At God's right hand you rule and reign. The captives you set free! Almighty and triumphant King, The battle has been won. Thanks be to God who gives to us The vict'ry in His Son. One day the nations all will bow, Confessing Christ is Lord. Your enemies will be cast down; Your wrath will be outpoured. Our glorious and triumphant King Will come again in pow'r To raise and glorify His saints Who hear His voice that hour. When heav'n and earth have passed away, His Kingdom shall endure. In joy and righteousness we'll dwell With Him forevermore. |
