From Heaven God Sent His Only Son |
|||
Wherefore by this the
love of God was mainfested in us, that God has sent His only begotten
Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 Jn 4:9,10 Hymn tune by Bill Fiess, 2019

From
Heav’n God sent His only Son,
The Word made flesh, the holy One. The Lord of glory was made poor That we, in Christ, could be restored. What crown is this for God’s own Son? He is God’s Lamb, the holy One. Thorns on his brow like Isaac’s ram, The bloody crown of God’s pure Lamb. Dead in our sins, we could not see Christ, our true life and liberty. Once guilty, lost, and slaves of sin, We now have peace with God through Him. The living Lord who once was dead For sinners, suffered in our stead. The grave and death no more can claim All those in Christ who trust His name. From dust to glory we shall rise When Christ appears from heav’n on high. Washed in Christ’s blood, His holy bride Will be transformed and glorified! |
