Hymn
tune by Bill Fiess |

When Christ, our King, returns In glory and in might, His enemies will be cast down And evil brought to light. This present world now groans And yearns to be set free When God's creation is restored To perfect harmony. In glory Christ shall come And all the dead He'll raise. He'll judge the living and the dead, And call them from their graves. The saints will rise to live With Christ eternally. The mortal shall be swallowed up By immortality. To Canaan land we've come; We seek a better home. Like flowers we all fade and die, Tempted and tried, we groan. Our bodies will be changed; In glory we'll be raised. Redeemed in body and in soul, We'll ever sing God's praise. This age will pass away, Its sorrows and distress. We long to dwell in Emmanuel's land Of peace and righteousness. The glorious church, Christ's bride, For whom He bled and died Will be with Him, her Sov'reign King, Throughout eternity. "I'm making all things new", Says God upon His throne. There's no more mourning, death or pain When we reach our true home. O come Lord Jesus, come With healing in your wings. The heav'ns and earth will be made one In Christ, the King of kings.
