Now I saw a

Hymn tune by Bill Fiess |
When Christ, our King, returns In glory and in might, His enemies will be destroyed And evil brought to light. This present world now groans And waits to be set free When God's creation is restored To perfect harmony. In glory Christ will come When all the dead are raised. He'll judge the living and the dead, Calling them from their graves. The saints will rise to live With Christ eternally. The mortal shall be swallowed up By immortality. This age will pass away, Its sorrows and distress. We long to dwell in Emmanuel's land, A home of righteousness. Rejected, slain, and raised, Christ bore the curse for me. We'll be with Him, our Sov'reign King, Throughout eternity. To Canaan land we'll come; We seek a better home. Like flowers we all fade and die, Tempted and tried, we groan. Our bodies will be changed; In glory we'll be raised. Redeemed in body and in soul, We'll ever sing God's praise. "I will make all things new." Declares our Lord that day. The heav'ns and earth will be made new, Freed from sin and decay. The saints with one accord Will glorify the Lord. The earth will sing and bless her King. His name will be adored.
